Column lock
 

I realized the other day that my tilt column wasn’t locking when the key was not in the run position

I pulled the steering wheel and compared to a non tilt column I had and realized that the pin that locks the locking plate seems to be missing.

Is that locking pin the same for both tilt and non tilt columns?

Well after watching about 10 videos on how to rebuild a steering column I see now that the tilt and standard locking pins are completely different.

I found I have the same problem, taking off the steering box for rebuild is when I figured out the steering wheel wasn’t locking. I am expecting the locking rod to be there but stuck. Rebuilt tilt I got from our sponsor looks nice.
