2018 POCI Convention
 

I am excited to officially announce that the 2018 POCI Convention will be held at Chula Vista Resort in Wisconsin Dells, WI from June 24 - June 28, 2018. This event is being co-hosted by my chapter, God's Country Pontiac Association out of the Madison area, and the Badger State POCI Chapter out of the Milwaukee area.

This is truly a gorgeous setting with tons of family activities in the area. More information will be forthcoming as the planning continues.

Are you sure the dates are correct the 24th - 28th are Sunday - Thursday? Usually these things are Tuesday - Saturday.

We drive up to WI every summer, visit family, eat walleye and cheese, grill brats.

Yes. Had to shift the days to make it work with the hotel rates. This is a huge tourism area. Weekends are crazy busy around there and resort rates are higher on weekends, and they will be full.

Why is it scheduled the same week as the GTOAA National Convention? I thought POCI did their Convention the 2nd or 3rd week of July. This is not helping promote and maintain the Pontiac community.

Agreed. Why is POCI doing it again.

I agree with Survivor. POCI was hell bent on mid July dates for 2017 in a much warmer region. Not to mention for anyone who works for a company involved in selling anything this is a common end of quarter for many. Why cut off so many people?

On the bright side, WI in June is outstanding & the meet will be in the water park capitol of the World so your kids will love it. Let's hope it's a good one.

Is there a venue set for Chula Vista for indoor parking?

Was there last night for dinner at Kaminski Bros (BTW it's a big meal place.

There are a some lots at the resort that will be blocked off and reserved for the show and swap. At this point, it is not looking like there will be indoor parking.

Wow last time I was up there (summer 2017), I said to myself "if they ever do it here..." Now I gotta go. Any plans for a track day? Still going regardless.

There is not a drag race event planned, but on Tuesday from 3-5 PM, there is a Hot Lap event at Dells Raceway Park, a paved oval. This event is free if you're registered for the convention. There are also four driving tours on Monday & Tuesday to experience the beautiful scenery and roads in the Dells area from the seat of your old Pontiac.
