Convertible Top
I'm looking for a good brand of convertible top. Recommendations?

Vinyl or cloth?

Try Legendary or Scott Drake, both make quality tops.
There are a few others that specialize in tops but would have to go back and look at who I used to use. I think Hirsch and 'Safe-something' but it's been a while. . |
Robins!!!!!!!!!!! Replaced my Robins top after 30 years. Still was nice. Just not concourse. Dave Robins asked me to send the old top back to him. Wanted to check the quality. You don't see that any more.
"Bill"! |
That sounds familiar.

cloth top for my 2015 Camaro 2ss indy festival commemorative edition # 58 of 100.

I used one from Kee on my 67. Held up well for 15 years now

Always do the pads when doing a top. Not only might they be stretched out and/or wear faster and fail before the top, but the top may not fit right either.

I bought a KEE top also. Pinpoint Vinyl. From AMES, installed 11 years ago, and it looks great still.
Take note that the KEE 66-67 A body top has a liiiiitle bit of a sharper inside corner where it goes from the door windows to the quarter windows. More so than other makes of tops. I kind of like it better. In my signature is my website where i install the top. In part two of the install, there are some pix of it. Dave |
I bought my pinpoint vinyl top from The Convertible Top Guys at M&T Manufacturing. It actually has a ship label on box from Kee Tops. Looks very good and like the original with glass back for my 72. I hope to do it myself soon.

Thanks to all. I received better info from this forum than the Camaro 5 forum.
