The first picture is very significant!! Jim Miller built the 469" RAV but with the 3" main journal crank he got from Pontiac Engineering. Story goes as Jim told me. Class was limited to 3" main journals. Cars should have been around 400 ci. He knew the chebies were 454s. So he built the 469. The Pontiac was dominating. 'They' didnt like that. So they figured he had a 455. So that night protestors put up $1500.00 to tear the Pontiac down. Jim just told me he noticed one of the chebie guys with a 455 bearing shell in his hand. Jim told him save your money. Nope .Jim is taking the oil pan off. He handed them the #2 main! I never asked why they never ck ci. That had to be funny. This car is different than the one in H-O Racings pictures. Same engine different car owner. I witnessed the 69 GTO of Don Gamble,Speedway Productions run. Coming out of turn 2 at Latrobe Speedway the GTOwas at turn 3 the chebies were about half way down the straight. That RAV was something at that ci.

Jim just told me it wasnt the RAV. It was a 61 389 bored .150 over. Cast iron intake. He forgot what heads were on it.Sorry for the confusion. The Don Gamble car had the RAV in it sorry guys.
