I really like the stance of your car. When the panels are aligned correctly like yours, black really stands out. Are the rims 14 or 15"

best regards

Nice! I like that fan shroud.

chrisp 01-29-2014 08:26 AM

Wheels are 14 x 7 , shroud is from a full-size Pontiac . Custom made coils / gas shocks , rides beautiful with stock spring rate .

Are you running a manual trans, if so what? If so, what rear gear are you running?

geeteeohguy 01-30-2014 11:13 AM

My kind of GTO. Very, very nice. Don't change a thing!

Chrisp-
I see you have the underhood light switch bracket I have been looking for. Was wondering where your car was built, and If by chance you have a spare one?

Jon I might have one but it's been too cold to spend much time in the other garage . I have a complete one downstairs in a tube of 64 parts but the tub is on a shelf on the other side of the Bonneville and it's tight not sure if I can get it out .

3 Deuce-
I would be all over that when you can get it in your hands. Please let me know, thanks! Jon

Started looking around for a GTO in '94 and found one that was complete but just needed attention, like a lot of attention. It started out as Saddle Bronze (marketing name for Brown ;-), but I always liked Black so Black it is. PHS has it as a late model tripower made in June at the Fremont Plant and sold new near Los Angeles.

Here's mine. A very late build date of 7/24/64 out of KC, it's an original Tri-Power, 4 Speed, 3:23 open rear end Goat sold out of Charles Hearn in Chicago, IL. The original drivetrain is long gone. It currently has a '67 400 with #64 heads, '65 Trips, '64 dated M20 and 3:55 Safe-T-Track 8.2 10 bolt rear end. The car was originally Silvermist Gray, Black Cordova Top with Parchment Interior. I don't think I've seen a silver '64 with white interior before. A previous owner painted the car red with black interior. I plan to take it back to the original color combo next year along with steelies and dog dish caps. The latter might come very soon as I'm getting a little tired of the Cragars.

OMT - I like the look of the Centerlines on your '64, I have Centerlines on my '61 Vette, what's the size and backspacing on yours?
Mike T.

Old Man Taylor 04-19-2014 02:31 PM

I'm not sure on the fronts. I think they are 15x5. The rears are 15x8.5. The backspacing has been listed as 4 15/16" or 5".
