Currently a 77 400 block that came with the car and a 455 bored 60 over on the engine stand awaiting assembly.

I believe these models live in the shadows of 70-73 and 77-78 Trans Am's. 1974 is my personal favorite year. I looked forever for a decent project until after 10 months the owner of this one finally decided to let me try to save it. It sat in this state for a number of years here in central Georgia under a tarp, which explains the mold. After inspecting the cars I found this body in unbelievable condition. Perfect floor pans and trunk, only rust was outer rust on lower rear quarters. The car is a 74 455 Cameo white car with deluxe blue interior. The car is currently undergoing a frame up "restification" and some more pics after I cleaned it up can be seen at:
http://www.geocities.com/auto33/page3.html As far as Critter's car: It is one of my personal fav's too. If you are into 2nd gen birds you need to stop by: http://www.transamcountry.com http://members.transamcountry.com/me.../phpyUPY41.jpg |
My car was more rust than metal when I found it. Had it not been an X code and had the Cordoba top, I wouldn't have done it. Thanks for the props. These cars are overlooked and I'm glad to see more interest in them these days. Of course the only problem with that is that more of us will be fighting over the parts specific to our year model. http://forums.performanceyears.com/g...on_biggrin.gif

Here's a picture of my 74 SD car. I sure do love stirring the old stick shift around when I'm out cruising.

This car was purchased from a fellow PY member and was listed in the classifieds last year around this time.
