Eddyville BOP Saturday
Hey Everybody,
Anyone going the BOP at Eddyville in Iowa? The Coopers are set to appear - Bob, Brian and Kenny! We have been looking forward to this for years. unfortunately, I couldn't get the car ready in time and health issues are keeping us from coming. I hope that others can cheer on the Coopers. Good luck guys! Take Care, Craig |

SINCE WE HAVENT HAD A CALL OUT IN A WHILE
Since we haven’t had a call out in a while.
Danny Estep I’m calling you and your fire breathing Dragster out! 500 to the winner! I think my old mans goat could probably whoop ya or whomp ya or both! Disclaimer: 500 pennies because that should be enough to buy a hot dog from the concession stand. |

Fun times Saturday. It was great to see Arnie and talk with him a bit. Wish I could have seen Brian and Danny there as well. All in all it was a great weekend.
Thanks to everyone that stopped by to say hi. |
Congrats to Rick (probird) for winning the Q16 race (not surprising though lol)

I used to go to Eddyville back in the day and definitely remember Robert Cooper, man what a dandy of a Guy! I took my old Firebird up there for a Nostalgia Drag and was having trouble with it cutting out at above 5500 RPM and he came over and helped me get it timed right.
Back then he had a 65ish GTO that he flat toed behind a Burgundy 75 Firebird and he raced both cars. I also remember always seeing a 70 GTO campaigned by Milligan's? |
Some of my favorite memories in my life include Bob, his family and the Milligan's.
Take Good Care Everybody, Craig |
Wow that goes way back. But he never towed with the 75bird. That was his daily driver for quite a few years. He towed with El Camino that he put a 389 in, then a green 69 GP that i believe he bought from Milligan (not 100% sure on that) then a burgundy 69 GP. The GTO, burgundy GP, and Firebird are still in the family
