1988 Sunbird Turbo Camshaft

I am usually pretty good at finding replacement parts for people but on this one I have struck out, the owner found the camshaft with 2 worn lobes when repairing a leaky valve cover.
I have been able to find the non turbo K code camshaft, but nothing for the Turbo M code engine.

This is for the SOHC 2.0 engine

Any help greatly appreciated.

Keeeep searching. I had an '89 Turbo Grand Am. Parts for those turbo 4 bangers are hens teeth. Run pretty damn strong, when they run. Are you sure its only a valve cover leak? They are known for eating head gaskets, turbo seals and cracking heads. I put $1500.00 into mine doing my own work and that was quite a few years ago.

havevyou looked on car-part.com (at least that's what I recall the url as being)...
you can find some great stuff there.
There has to be a handful of the turbo Sunbirds and Grand Am's in Pac-NW wreckers...

Thanks for the idea's, he want's a new one, but he may have to settle for a good used one if he want's it back together in a reasonable amount of time.

As for the leak it does have alittle to much blow by, but I found the valve cover damaged were it was leaking (Cracked ) so that should cure most of the leak, it has 160,000 miles on it so I really don't expect it run like new.

I'm never in here but I noticed the posting in the forum summary.
While the turbo engine was US-only, perhaps some Europe or Brazil distributor might have something? The LT3 or C20GET engines were built in Brazil, so perhaps that can help.
Otherwise - yes, car-part.com for a used cam.

Thanks for the Ideas. I will look into it. So far no luck.

Thanks for all the leads, non of them directly panned out, but thru a lead from a lead from a lead, we were able to find a NOS Cam and Followers that we needed. It runs great now that all the valves open like they should.
