Your neighbors must love you. ;)
It's been years since I parted one like that, but nobody could see what I was doing. Post up some more pics of the Hearse & Ambulance - those look cool! |
there are some pics in the fullsize tech.
my neighbors like me a lot, those are pics of cars the day before my scrap guy takes them. i don't like the clutter myself, scrap gets out of here quickly! |

Take a lot of car time to part a car. Make some money but no work done on the restorations...Tough trade off. And parting anything is a crap shoot, sometimes you win, sometimes all that effort and you make $250....
Not sure how you made a nickle on the Nova. Big cars didn;t do too well for me, and even the last TA, a 77 stick car didn't do too well. Passed up a few lately, even turned around on a $350 71 GV ragtop but no title and hadn't run in years....Likely stuck motor, but figured the little I"d make wasn't worth the time or the hassle from the BOSS. Glad you saved the Vista Cruiser's roof. Would look neat on a 70 Le Mans... 69 GP power drums? With AC? I"d say you took the discs and plunked on an extra set of drums? You are the consummate recycler! Thanks for the rims from the 69. KV |

i make money on everything, usually over 500+ profit with and average of 7-800. That grandville, you talked about, is worth grabbing. i make a ton of money on 71-76 gm fullsize conevrts. When i get them , i do make good money on A bodies. The 69-72 gp i do well on also. the trans ams were cheap local pickups, and i am doing ok on them. i have been laid off for 4 months, a union tile guy, and i do this to offset the unemployment insurance. i get bummed out not working and this keeps me busy. i sold off my 69 ambulance to a guy in peoria illinois, made a great profit, and because i would never restore it. i can't afford to do that, with 2 kids in catholic school, and 8 cars total...... restoration of cars is not in the pic. i feel no remorse stripping these sh!t boxes i get. if i didn't get these, they would end up in the scrap yard. i spread these parts all over the world for more deserving cars. glad you liked the 14x7's! i still have a solid 72 gp rolling frame available, that is too clean to cut up right now, lol. eric |

Where do you do the best selling the parts? Ebay? Craigslist? How much do you get for the leftover gutted shells for scrap?
