67 GTO Sterring wheel question

I want to remove my sterring wheel and replace my spokes, i have the 3/4 nut off do i have to rent a sterring wheel puller to get the wheel off?? Secondly COrrect position of the sterring wheel spokes go 3 oclock 9 oclock and 12 oclock or does the 12 oclock on the bottom???

3-9-6 for the spokes, the shaft and wheel should have a mark to line up.Yes you will need a puller.....JB

Thank You 9901, my wheel was off a full 90 degree,s, should i also clean off the white contact under the wheel that holds the spring?? It has alot of grease build-up on the copper area.

Put a little dielectric grease on it @ re-install.....JB

What options do i have for sterring wheels for my 67 gto, i have the original black one and a torqios one, Both are stretched and horn spokes are cracking when installation.

Some people have had good luck with the do-it-yourself steering wheel resto kits. I think POR-15 makes one...Also Eastwood. From what I've seen, if you take your time you can make it look real good. I'll probably go that route on my '68 wheel.
