Rally II wheels Backspacing measument

Can anyone confirm or not if the Pontiac Rally II wheels that's on the sec gen cars are 4 or 4 1/2 inch backspace looking for verification...thanks

The set I have were off a 73Formula. They looked to me like 4.25 when I was measuring.

So your saying 4 1/4 Inch...hmmm

b-man 11-27-2019 08:01 PM

The last ones I measured were 4-3/8” or a tad more.

Definitely not 4”.

RocktimusPryme 11-27-2019 11:48 PM

yeah definetely not four. I was thinking they were 4 and a quarter but they might have been a little more. Its harder to measure with tires mounted on the wheels.

My 15 inch HM code rally’s (can’t remember year) are 4 3/8

If you can have what you want, try to get the most, I doubt it will be over five..

Just measured a 15x7 it's about 3 3/4 inch definitely under 4

b-man 12-02-2019 02:57 PM

You sure you’re not measuring a 6” wheel?

No way any factory 15x7 measures less than 4-3/8”. Most aftermarket ones are 4”.

Heres the rim measured outside lip to outside lip then inside to inside
Aren't the rims stamped ??? 15x???
Looks like a 6inch your right...
Didn't know they can on 15x6. Thought that was 14 inch

b-man 12-02-2019 03:08 PM

That’s a 6” rim. Bead to bead is how they’re measured.

Wheel diameter is also measured at the tire mounting bead, not the rim edges.

Yeah I did not know they came 15x6 learned something new thanks bman the search continues
