I had an intermittent temp reading in a Toyota truck once. Turned out to be a bad radiator cap. Don't ask me how or why this caused the condition.

Yeah, if I dink them (tried it) and mount them, the cap retaining bolt crushes the cap against the spindle. That tolerance is a bit too tight!

Sounds like the safest part is probably a conical style lug. Such as part # GMW8 (stainless steel capped lugnut)...

The 068 closes intake valve at 39 degrees, compared to somthing like 26 degrees...
