have not adjusted idle mix screws. new at this stuff, been told to screw them in one at time til hear fouling, then back off 1/8 turn at a time and let eng settle for a bit before moving on til...

steve - vac advance is connected to a y type connector out the back of the carb, small side goes about 12" to the advance, the other larger side goes to the brakes - is this what you were referring...

After years of inactivity and endless leaks, had the eng pulled apart, new gaskets, seals, carb rebuild while we were at it,plugs, wires, cap/rotor, timing chain, and put back in. starts fine, but...

again, GIANT thanks to everyone. was able to tie the choke/secondary lockout cam open, car runs WAY better ALL THE TIME now. will remove cam first chance i get. not much time this weekend.
