What mods if any do I need to do to tach signal from an HEI dist to get my hood tach to run properly? I do know the signal with HEI is different that points. Some kind of Filter?

Why would one want to go from the original 70 amp alternator to a 100 or 140 amp? I am looking for a new alternator for my 70 GTO.
Unless I am installing a high power sterio system I do not see...
