I have a 70 400 block #9799914 with 4 bolt mains drilled and tapped (factory), but only has 2 bolt main caps.

I finally got my 70 Formula out to the track. Wasn't nothing impressive as it continued to pop at around 5200 RPM.

Why are you not surprised about the converter. Should he be doing something different in regards to the converter?

He is going to go with a West Coast converter next.
