As already mentioned above on a 1965 389 block the two letter code is stamped on top of the EUN.
1966, 67 were stamped below EUN.

The 64-66 Z bar has a small hole at the top for a smaller clutch rod.

Assembly line valve.

I have this CV-679C in both my GTO’s.
My low mile ‘65 still had its Original valve when I purchased it.

OEM is the only way IMO.
