Power goes to starter all the time then the trigger wire from key or a switch activates the solenoid for full power to starter motor. Is there clearance from starter gear to fly wheel/flex plate?

Alternator gets hot fast

Getting real hot right after start up. Took apart and bearings seem fine and greasy. I did grease them awile back. Its a converted to one wire on street strip car that's mostly strip. Thanks.

Worked for GM for 40 yrs. There transmission factory used that to clean everything from parts to peoples hands etc. We would take asbestos cloth to use a bed roll or pillow to take a nap. O well.
