Thanks for the heads up. Didnt know about the lead being a problem with welding.
Think I will wait until I am ready for a full repaint before taking on the seams.

You are right about the frame needing to be straightened. It is out of square, and the front horn on one side was bent in. Have it at a frame shop, so they should be calling soon after they fix it....

Pinion head, will probably do just what you said. The boxed section can be transplanted to the "new" frame. I cant weld, but got plenty of friends who can.

Took careful measurements using the Pontiac specs and the front horns and front body mounts are off by about 1" and 1/2". The remainder of the rear body mounts are in correct specs....
