already tried the speedometer and cable....that was the easy part. I will try the gears in the tranny......thanks!

My transmission (350) is not turning my spedometer cable. Is this something I can repair myself? Are parts available? If I have it done, anyone have a rough idea of the cost?

The garage, while putting on new headers, say they found coolant in the oil pan. They felt that the entire engine needed to be torn down and redone (1974 455 YU), not just fix the probable blown...

I don't see a 72 throttle cable in catalogs. And at least on auto parts store did not have. Only up to 71 in catalog, and that is not it.
What am I missing? Where can I get a 72 throttle...

I see the second hole in the firewall
the acc has only one spot for the throttle cable (maybe needs to be replaced).
The kick down from the trans though has a fitting on the end...long...
