Back in the day I drove my 67 Tempest with a 69-72 disc brake set up. It should be more than adequate for your stated needs. Plenty of aftermarket kits available.

I would have updated this post yesterday but I couldn't get on the forums.

The BHJ balancer was $677.50 from BHJ and $535 from Nitemare. They only offer the slip fit balancer as a special order....
