Yes as far as we can tell it was the original engine to the 67 it came out of...guy didn't want to spend the money on a Pontiac and ordered a catalog 350 instead...yikes!

Subframe Crack - 79 TA

Looking for some guidance here. I was doing some cleaning and prepping of my engine bay with the engine out and noticed this crack in my subframe. This is on the crossmember portion under the engine....

Had some time to get out to the garage, and my big question was how far in the hole the pistons may be. To my surprise they seem to be flush to the deck surface to me, so Is this zero decked?

That sounds like a good plan to me! Would you still recommend Rhodes lifters? Im guessing that vacuum will he no issue at idle, but I hear they are high quality lifters.
