400 w/F body headers required the passenger header removed to get it in a 66 Catalina. The driver's side was ok. Only way to swing it enough to clear steering box

Thanks for the help. There wasn't an obvious ground wire for the core support in the harness so I just ran one off a headlight socket ground and they came on

On the high beam sockets both wires are hot. On the lows the red and green are hot. The bulbs won't light up though. And the wires are hot regardless of if I switch the high/low switch. I'm thinking...

I'd leave at idle like I wanted to leave a stoplight quick but not attract attention. Once up to 40 ish get in the throttle firmly but don't just mat it.

Keep it for now. I picked up 2 locked up 400s just for the bolts, pulleys, brackets, and all the other bolt ons. So much easier than going to some store or salvage yard every time you need some...

They're bolted on tight at the flange. Not a ton...

I found a Q jet plate cheap and it's on the way. I would have tried to break it in this weekend but the kids got a nasty case of rotavirus.
