unless you drive your Firebird around with the hood up...how would anyone know if your early Firebird was sporting later made fenders..its really a design change and numbers (more later fenders)...

were trim rings standard or optional on 1972 T/A'S (I guess standard)...I prefer Honeycombs so I got a nice set and I did eventually give into P.Y. peer pressure and remove them ( one less shark...

RANDY COMBS, the guy who restored my (and other P.Yers) dash bezel also claims to restore the Formula wheels...I feel he does fantastic work and I am tempted to send my original wheel to him...really...

very cool to hear about the 1971 models...so my one-of 1972 with custom chrome bezels with the black inserts is in fine company...and it matches my pre JAN. chrome backed mirror...best to wear shades...

165TH...this is like deja-vu to me...when I got my car I had the exact same problem...I swapped the fuel gauge that I salvaged from my 1976...same problem..I pulled the sending unit and swapped it...

.......do not always flock together especially when its a 1970 bezel..the original 1970 and car mag photos show it on the right( I kinda like it there as my 76 was on the left)...get out the filler...

finding 2 original alternator bolts is not an easy task..interesting that the rear pumpkin uses a similar style..I am wondering if repop bolts are made for that application...it is a nightmare...

this is the AMES repop horn cap that is available...my original has the cracking going on...there is a difference between the repop and the original..most likely the type of material used..the repop...

71&72 455 H.O. are the same...so we need to know what 1970 RAIII & IV use and what about 1973 455 & S.D.455..THE HUMP clears the valve cover and I believe that that funky bend/roll in the bracket is...

.....that year A-body has always been my favorite..if I could have a 2nd car that would be it...I suppose the TRANS AM style fender vents are very unique the rear spoiler and the front end treatment...
