My car, which was assembled on the 2nd week in February in the Pontiac Mi plant, has the same date cast on the block. There appears to be a very tight window at the Pontiac plant.

Torque rating on a '65 Tri-power vs 4bbl

Can anyone explain why the torque rating on a '65 tripower is lower than a 4bbl without getting too technical? It just doesn't make sense to me. Maybe the cam has something to do with it?

Brake drum question

The shoes on my '65 GTO with manual drum brakes are good but they are extremely dirty. Can I use brakekleen on the backing plate without harming the rubber seals on the wheel cylinders? Thanks.
