68 Power Antenna Help

The threads on my power antenna housing are trashed to the point that the threads look tapered. I when I put the antenna through the quarter panel I can't get the chrome nut to start on the housing...

Ok, I assume then that he should hook the speaker switch up to the radio like normal and the harness from the 8-track will plug into to the radio which will then control the front/rear speaker?
