Polar-Pontiac it has a blower with a blowthrough carb. I believe he's been 8.30's, used to be an nos car very hit or miss with the BFG's and an NOS car at 3000#.It also has stock style suspension....

I dont see any the only harness i disconected were the headlights.I did notice the top fuse where the top was getting power from is loose or broken I'll have to get under there to see what the deal...

Top worked fine until I disassembled the front of the car now that its back together it doesn't work any more.When i put the power to another fuse it works but blows fuse any idea whats going on...

Thats more than likely the pump whining its like any type of gear whine it will only get worse with time.A full build on a th400 should be around $1000 including any hard parts.
