Another part ID request

I don't know what to call it. It is on the driver's side floor under the carpet and it covers the flat cable that runs to the trunk and powers the rear tail lights.

1) Did 389 blocks have three freeze plugs per side?

I have access to a sonic wall tester, but the issue is how accurate will it be with a sleeved cylinder? If I recall correctly the hole is bored for an interference fit and then the sleeve is chilled...

Question Trying to save a '64 GTO block

It was the Harbor Freight water pressure tool. I borrowed a buddies' Snap-on unit and the pressure is rock steady.

Darn spell check!

Yes, sleeved. The #8 cylinder had a crack and I had it sleeved.

The cap is a 15 pound unit. I pumped the system up to 20psi

water jacket leak test result

After cleaning up all of the oil drips and laying down a layer of bentonite, floor dry, to spot any water. And filing the rad and wiping up any water spills, I pressurized the rad to 20psi.

I have individual cylinder pushrod guides on the heads. Turns out two of them had cracks along the guide lip. One of them lost its guide lip when i tried to straighten the guide. They were "adjusted"...

Since I had water in the oil, and had to pull the engine, I am doing everything I can to make sure I have checked every possible water leak.

oil filter bypass vs oil pump pressure?

If I want to increase oil pressure do I do it at the pump? I'd like 60-70psi.

I am installing a remote dual filter set up so there won't be a bypass. Is that a problem? I bought the Butler oil...
