HEI connection

OK, got the HEI distributor in. Now to get 12v ignition to it. Appears previous owner replace wiring harness at some point. The + side of the coil had a black/yellow wire and a fabric coated wire....

I own a 72, TA with a TH400. I would like to make the shaker hood flap functional. What activates the flap? Kick down switch or switch on the carb. What color coded wires to the solenoids?

In retrofitting a 1968 GTO using A-6 compressor,has anyone experience any leaking problems from clamp type fittings. Drier,o-rings,and POA valve will be upgraded. Of course I meant R-134
