A high zinc content is preferred. The only oil I now use in everything is Shell rotella 15w40. Its a diesel oil but high in zinc. I use in on advice...

1970-74ish have the fuel lines on the passenger side, all later year pontiac engine 2nd gen firebirds have the fuel lines on the driver side... totally different routing.
