Well, they all had the rear bumper spaced further away from the body, but bumperettes were not standard equipment on 73’s, plenty of birds shipped/sold without them.

I did it to get the filter out from behind the headers. Side benefits are dual PH8 Ford full length filters with built in relief. No more hunting for Pontiac...
