Well, they all had the rear bumper spaced further away from the body, but bumperettes were not standard equipment on 73’s, plenty of birds shipped/sold without them.

2nd and 3rd take the most abuse. I replaced those gears, syncros and hubs along with the reverse gears and shaft( they were the big problem in mine) at the recommendation of a transmission friend....
