Q-jet not staying on high idle

Carb works great, all rebuilt , everything appears to be adjusted and seems spot on ....however...

When cold and I tap the pedal it steps up to the high idle cam, but if I hold the throttle part...

You're looking for an oil pan for a 1970 GTO? See pic attached. Removed from a 1970 GTO, you'll see the rear sump is a little banged up and the orientation of the plug is different and identifies it...

Has anyone been able to get the operation of the cable smoother? I can see why they have always had issues closing.

I'm thinking of drilling another hole in the arm of the flapper door (higher)...

Guess I'll mention my issue. Legendary front buckets with ACI buns on a 70 GTO (sandalwood) had a shop do them turned out good, but the horizontal stitch ran at angle on each. Not noticable...
