Yep, it happened to me too. Called on a '74 T/A red, black all original, engine, 4-speed a/c etc original owner garage kept etc. sounded like a nice driver.
Arranged a trailer due to 250 mile drive...

Looking at purchasing a 73 firebird where the owner had an aftermarket a/c system installed back in the day, not sure what brand, it does not blow cold.

From what I was able to find out when dealing with this issue a few years ago the lower bearing only fits '67 and '68 columns. ...

you should be able to get a k-d tool or other similar at most auto parts store. this is the crimp tool used for CV boot clamps. I think they run $15-$20.

On my '67 there is a hook is on the driver side and it is black plastic, has some ribs on the face of it. Maybe the '66 had chrome and the 7 plastic?
