Actually you can use the same compressor for HVLP or siphon feed guns. AN HVLP gun pressurises the cup and uses very low tip pressure, a siphon feed uses air volume to pick the paint up from the cup.

almost any brand name gun will give you good results, I have also used some harbor freight knock offs with good results. Devilbiss, Binks, Sata, Sharpe, all make good guns.

I agree Ingersoll makes great stuff, Snap On and Mac are made by other companys for them. CP is really good stuff also. Hutchins makes some really great sanders as does National Detroit.
