I was hoping that the variation might be a result of the cold water from the water pump hitting cylinder 1 first... But yep, compression and leak down test is probably in order

No need to pay, I can just do a leak down test at home :D Its on my list of things to do, the car runs great, but I did notice that the exhaust temps on the #1 cylinder exhaust port seem to be lower...

Does anyone have a diagram/measurements of the exhaust flange for a standard D port exhaust?

Also, am I correct in assuming that the flange on a set of 1964 heads will be the same as 65-88 heads?

I had a similar issue with my 64 Catalina, the rear lights had a mind of their own, or occasionally just refused to work

Turned out all the grounds in the rear loom were knackered - Quick enough...
