off the line scoot but also have long legs for high speed cruising. I went with the 700r4

It took me about 20 years to get my mild cammed DD street trim 400 auto to dip into the 13's.
In the end it was about deeper gears, higher stall, and better traction.

Thanks, its been a lot of trial and error (mostly error) before finally sitting down and doing the research. I tried for years using a 3.08 axle behind the OD tranny and running super lean mixtures....
