I’ve run 235/70/15 with no issues, although I had 4.5” bs on 7” rims. Also ran 8” cheater slicks on same wheels with no problem.

I had my 14" stock wheels center cut and put on a 15x7 rim. There are a few wheel companies that do this. Not cheap, but is the look I wanted. 4" backspacing is centered for a 7" wheel but 4.5"...

235/70/15 tire with 7" rim will fit fine on the rear of a 62 Cat. Not enough backspace on your 7" wheels. 4.5" bs works well with 7" wide rims. By the way, awesome car and I dig the mags.

I was born the same year and month my 62 Catalina was purchased new. I even have the yom plates from same year/month on the car. All this was unintentional (including my birth) lol.
