If your going with EFI you might just want to go DIS as well. They make crank sensor splitters that could feed both systems.

I saw a garage floor where they just polished it...

I saw a garage floor where they just polished it very fine and then sealed it. Looked great and oil would not soak in. Was no slipper then paint or epoxy.

Years ago a nurse told me the most common ring burn was from early Chevy pickup trucks. The battery was right against the firewall and the positive on the left side. Burnt many a wedding ring off.
