Had it line honed for the install of Billet center caps.......A STANDARD SIZE SET WAS INSTALLED BY MACHINE SHOP.

4 bolt caps installed.
a standard timing set had been installed .
Maybe 8 tanks of gas, cruzing

Changed cam to Crane 284281 @ .050 234 in /242...

Changed cam to Crane 284281 @ .050 234 in /242 ext lift is .473 in / .488 ex Lobe sep 112.

Softened the lowend some , comes on strong after 3000 rpm.

Smoother powerband .

Liked my first...

Well.....I lean towards it will affect the bleed down rate , but I also see the other side .....


Wonder if anyone made a switch from high psi to low psi and saw a difference in how the lifters...

RHOADES LIFTERS and High Pressure Oil Pump

Will the higher pressure of the HP oil pump affect the action of Rhoades lifters ?


At idle fully warm I have 45 psi ...2400 rpm 75 psi .


Should have stuck with the standard Oil pump to get...

Update The Avenger carb was crap, a...

Update

The Avenger carb was crap, a collection of spare parts my buddy used.

Timing was off a bit.

Set the timing to 12 intial, gapped plugs at .045 HEI from DUI .

I reused my Edelbrock ...
