It's too bad Edelbrock doesn't offer air valves with different weight counterweight air valves to solve that problem. The 625 cfm AFB on my 299" 63 avanti transitions just fine and the carb is bone...

I would not bother trying to make the original water passages work with the 65 and later heads,not a good match. Just cut the original water crossover off and use one cut off a late aluminum...

I have -8 return lines on both my wentzler heads and the E-head on my 4 cylinder. I have the drain line as low on the pan per Smokey Yunick . He said to return oil to oil. less windage,I guess.

I am guessing about 325 hp. The biggest problem has been a high speed miss in 4th gear above 7000 rpm which is from the lousy fuel distribution. The Gustram should fix that and hopefully ad some...

What frame? It's a unitbody car. My hoop is welded to a plate welded to the floor. Haven't needed a dash bar yet to be NHRA certified to an 8.50 et but will probably add one.
