It could be you didn't prime it long enought and the paper or filiment
wasn't complitily soak and after every thing settled the filter wasn't quit
full yet, so I think your good with no problems....

I've been using solid mounts for well over 20-years and no problems.
640HP+ 275 shot. 1:36 60ft on the back tires. 70-firebird 3525lbs.

Your rear end is gona try and rotate under accleration that's probly why your getting rear steer ajustable shocks or ajustable sway bar should help.

It's a good cam it doesn't have a lot of overlap...

It's a good cam it doesn't have a lot of overlap so it will work good with
A lower compression motor, as with the lower overlap it won't bleed off
A lot of compression.
