cozzo is right. Most folks didn't use them, and it looked better with them stuffed behind/under the rear seat. Besides, if every one was like me back then, there were very few riders in the back...

There were 81,722 67's made - 39,128 with a 4 speed, 42,954 with Autos. Will look up the pinstriping question.

If it is a bearing you can tell which side it is by listening as you turn right or left. If it gets louder when you turn right - it's the left front. Opposite for turning left.
