I wonder if someone makes the parts to fit a D52 with a 3rd gen 1LE rotor to fit a '64. That way you could use the current calipers and just up the rotor. There's a wider D52 that may fit a big C5-6...

Yea. Tried to fit 4th gen 12" rear rotors in a 15" snowflake out back - currently stuck with 11" there. Also no known aluminum caliper will fit - they tend to be meatier than iron units.

I don't know that there's anything wrong with the hurst shifter, from what I understand, the transmission itself can be a bear to shift, and the Long supposedly helps that more than the Hurst....
