It was so tight my trunk wouldn't open. Being a solid profile vs. the Metro profile with air spaces, it wasn't compressing enough.

For those who've added Dakota Digital gauges to your 2nd Gen Birds, where did you mount the control module? It needs to be easily accessible, but I can't find a good spot near the original harness...

Is any of the 5MPH "crash steel" usable? I'm converting my '73 to use the '71-'72 brackets to remove the extra weight. But, the lower reinforcement part is necessary for mounting the grill brackets....
