Thanks everyone, I really appreciate everyone's feedback. Good stuff! I'm going to go with the Auburn unit and keep my 3:36 ring and pinion gears. Can't wait to burn some rubber come spring. :3gears:

I'm restoring my original 1965 convertible built in Fremont, CA plant and it has this same gas cap. Build date is July 28, 1965.

You are correct, the original finish was clear...

You are correct, the original finish was clear zinc. They also had a gray paint sealer around the welded area. Classic Auto Air restores POA valves and will restore the original finish.
