SteveP The V8 emblem on front fender is correct. On the 1955 models the emblem was displayed on the quarter panel near the tailight. Moved to front fenders in '56.

I dont believe any production unit carried the upper body color onto the trailing edge of front fender and on to the rocker...

Both are basically the same.
Both are S-8 Incandescent bulbs utilizing a double wedge base.
Both are rated at 27 Watts/6 Watts.
