My bad, should've said.....It was recycled PTFE...

My bad, should've said.....It was recycled PTFE (teflon)...I chose it for its heat and chemical resistance.

I don't think it's a "shorter chain" when you're buying that type of timing set. At least that's how it is with Rollmaster. With those .005 and .010 sets, the chain is the same as in the standard...

It sounds like you're doing something similar as I did to my '67 a few years ago. I also went to a Moser 12-bolt rear and switched over the rear arms to GW. Sure is nice to dial in your pinion angle...

Any and all electronic ignition modules will fail eventually. Suddenly and without warning being the common failure mode. A points ignition will also fail, but it fails...

I'm not sure they "struggle" as long as you can keep the fuel bowl full. When you're increasing "flow area" of the N&S from .135" to .145" or more, that's a relatively huge increase in flow...
