I ran a 1200 cfm carb on my 542 and it pulled 2 inchs on the dyno put on a Cubic 2.35 bore and dropped it to .5 inch.

My 542 has 6.565 rods in it and yes the pistons are scuffed,I got a good deal on a Moldex crank and had the pistons so i put in what would fit.The crank is cross drilled so thats my 7000 rpm rev...

I like how simple it is i think some people over think what they need for a certain hp level when building the hot side no need for actual headers below 1000 hp LS guys are making 800 with manifolds.

I like the idea of a 10 inch type tire that evens up a 1/8 mile race.With a minimum weight and that tire size its down to have the car set up and proper tuneup.
