Replacing Vent Window Weather Strip / Rubber Seals 1959 - 1960

Vent / wing window crank repair. 1959 and 1960 maybe others.

Both of my 1960 Pontiac's have the same wing / vent window crank problems. The cranks are very loose and don't work properly. In this video I'll show you how to repair them at little or no cost.

I found the vin number on the lower front of the block. Number matches! :clap2:

Also found what looks like a rusty - leaky freeze plug. Hope that's how the water escaped... No water in the oil !!!

Dropped both gas tanks. Both have 35 year old gas that has gone so thick and dark it looks like automatic trans fluid. But the smell... WOW!

I have one from a 70,000 mile 2 dr ht. The door was hit hard so I assumed it would have been damaged, but I cut it out of the door and to my surprise it is in great shape.
