I did a 1" bar and put the end links that were the Prothane or poly urethane , plus 4 new Bilstiens.
Car Could go over the long speed bumps at 35MPH like they weren't even there.

I've NEVER once EVER heard Pontiacs doing this NOR is there any reputations for this except a 1000+HP Blown engine and even then its 99.99% a rod that fails.
So what's your point here?...

your cyl heads will need the pushrod slots cut-...
your cyl heads will need the pushrod slots cut- milled to allow the 1.65 ratio for clearance, so weight that into the mix.
The bigger ratio is a way to gain lift the cam doesnt have in its profile...

7K seems a bit out of line for a generic stock...
7K seems a bit out of line for a generic stock refresh on a 400, maybe $4.5K .
I seen stock rebuilds in my area as of last year less then 4K easily but I am not knowing what all s put into them...

The blue 68 looks like the engine was dropped on the front radiator support area, its all wrinkled up.
The thing has major structural issues...

Its a serious issue if you get caught n the scenario , especially if remote firewall filter set up are used.
It can throw any good mechanic for a loop if pressures don't come up and they rethink...

Ive honestly never experienced a lag of oiling puppy related issue unless running an engine with extended time and no oil pumping then things collapsed yes but not on a small momentary filter type...
